ABOUT
Philippa Holland has been designing bespoke jewellery for collectors since 2002.
After working under the celebrated jewellery designer, Francesca Amfitheatrof, and studying the history of jewellery at Sotheby’s, she travelled to India to buy gems in Jaipur and, on her return, set up Philippa Holland Fine Jewellery, based in Notting Hill, London.
She largely draws her inspiration from the natural world using organic objects such as seed pods, leaves, insects and skeletons which she casts from life to produce her exquisite and wearable art. Very much a British brand, all Philippa’s jewellery is hand crafted in small workshops in England.
Philippa Holland Fine Jewellery has been collected and worn by a variety of high profile clients such as Lily Allen, Claudia Schiffer and Sienna Miller, and in 2008, the Financial Times credited Philippa as one of the leading young British jewellery designers.
In 2010 her work was featured in ‘Fashion for Jewels:100 years of styles and icons’ written by UK Vogue’s jewellery editor, Carol Walton. Philippa has collaborated with a number of other brands including Bond Street jeweller David Morris, male model Jamie Strachan and William & Son (of the Asprey family).
Philippa now lives in Somerset with her two children and a menagerie of animals, where her connection to the local British landscape and wildlife is referenced in her jewellery. Philippa has participated in a number of charitable fundraising activities which includes riding (& winning) the Magnolia Cup at Glorious Goodwood. She has also organised a number of events locally and further afield to raise charitable funds – illustrated in some of the press provided.

Philippa has raised money for charity through various sport pursuits, meanwhile resurrecting and promoting the antiquated art of riding sidesaddle.
Wanting to race sidesaddle and finding this art of riding was no longer acceptable to amateur race riding rules she organised Dianas of the Chase (a 3 mile race across country over fences). She wanted to take this race onto a professional racecourse and hence masterminded the charity side saddle race at Wincanton (the first sidesaddle race on a jockey club racecourse). She was also invited to ride at Glorious Goodwood in a Ladies only flat race, which she won 2 years in a row. (Magnolia Cup).
